2026 began with a clear goal: to make more and more donations in support of animals.
At the end of 2025, I came into contact with Gattagorà ODV, a non-profit organization based in Turin, Italy, founded in 2013. They reached out for help because their volunteers are few and mostly elderly.
The founder, Gabriella Torgano, is a wonderful woman in her eighties who has dedicated her entire life to helping animals, actively supporting animal welfare organizations for many years, especially ENPA.
I started helping the association by creating their website, and after discussing it with the staff of Bakery Woods, we decided to dedicate our animal fundraising activities to supporting them.
Since Gattagorà is a small organization, the donations they receive are very limited. The founder and volunteers often personally pay for food and medical care for the animals, sometimes even selling their own belongings to continue supporting them.
About Gattagorà and the Cat Park
Gattagorà mainly cares for cats, but they never refuse to help any animal in need.
The city provided them with land where they created a Cat Park, made up of three large open-air enclosures. These areas are secured with tall fencing and anti-escape barriers to ensure the animals’ safety.
Inside the enclosures, there are:
- Cat houses and shelters
- Litter boxes
- Toys
- Trees for climbing
- Grass areas for play
At first glance, it does not feel like a shelter, but rather a peaceful environment where cats can live safely and comfortably, even if they are never adopted.
These cats have no families to care for them, but they can rely on the dedication of the volunteers.
They are healthy, well-fed, active, and clearly feel at home in the Cat Park. However, continued support is essential to ensure that this care can go on.
A Shared Animal Welfare Area
Next to Gattagorà’s enclosures, there are also enclosures managed by other animal welfare associations. Gattagorà generously allowed them to use part of their land.
Imagine a large open field filled with tall enclosures where, through the fencing, you can see many cats playing, eating, and climbing trees.
A peaceful oasis for cat lovers — but one that requires constant effort, sacrifice, and resources to maintain.
Why Support Is Urgently Needed
To continue the work and legacy of Gabriella Torgano, new volunteers and financial support are urgently needed.
The decision to support Gattagorà came from recognizing their real and immediate need — and the fact that every contribution can make a meaningful difference for animals who now have a safe place to live, even without a human family.
Full Financial Transparency Commitment
Another important piece of information is that Gattagorà is currently working on uploading all receipts and invoices issued in their name to their Google Drive, so that anyone can review their activities in full transparency.
These files will soon be integrated into their official website, allowing public access to financial documentation related to their operations.
Bakery Woods Official Support
Bakery Woods has officially become affiliated with Gattagorà and organizes fundraising activities on Second Life in their support. This can be verified on their website at the following page: https://gattagora.com/donazione-gatti
A dedicated Second Life account named gattagora was created to receive donations directly through TipJars.
Additionally, the RiaCat market has also chosen to support Gattagorà by hosting a TipJar owned by the gattagora account.

How Donations Are Managed
To ensure proper registration of donations, the association requested that funds pass through me as a private individual. This is because, technically, donations do not originate from Tilia directly, but from individuals who organize fundraising on their behalf.
For this reason, the process works as follows:
- The gattagora account receives donations
- I, NymphaeaMK, withdraw the funds to my personal PayPal account (net of L$ -> USD conversion and Tilia and PayPal withholdings)
- I then transfer the funds to the association’s PayPal account
- Gattagorà ODV receives the funds and registers the donation offline via Donorbox.org, specifying that the donation is made on behalf of Bakery Woods and any other participating markets
- I receive confirmation emails and, at the end of the year, a full record of donations issued as official receipts
Financial Transparency On Bakery Woods Donations
Regarding Bakery Woods (and any inworld affiliated markets, if present) donations:
I will upload to this website all related documentation, including:
- The receipts showing the transfer of funds from Second Life to PayPal through Tilia
- The confirmation of the transfer of funds to the Gattagorà ODV PayPal account
- The confirmation email issued by Gattagorà after registering the donation through their Donorbox system
- At the end of each year, the official fiscal receipt issued in my name
When publishing this documentation, any personal donations not related to the Second Life initiative will be carefully redacted to protect privacy.
Anyone who wishes may contact the association directly to verify the information provided and the donated amounts. Please refer to the name: Alessia M., in relation to the international fundraising initiative conducted on Second Life.
Privacy and Full Documentation Availability
All documentation uploaded to this website will have my personal name partially redacted for privacy reasons.
However, I am fully available to provide complete and unredacted documentation, upon request, to anyone who wishes to verify the donation records in detail.
